Executive Search Recruiting Challenge: Talent Consulting Firm Director of Client Solutions, Multiple Positions

Rice Cohen International was retained to lead the efforts to hire a Talent Consulting Firm Director of Client Solutions. Our client was experiencing rapid growth and their initial goal was to hire 10-20 people before the end of their fiscal year. They knew they would never be able to meet this target without partnering with a search firm that knew the industry and retained our dedicated teams to fill multiple positions.
This search was challenging for our client because they were looking for a very specific profile in very competitive markets. Additionally, they had an extremely in-depth assessment process that screened often screened out candidates they initially were very interested in. Even candidates who did incredibly well throughout the interview process could be considered not hirable at the very end if they did not do well enough on each of the assessments.
We collaborated with our client who walked us through their internal hiring process, as well as what qualifications and experience the ideal candidate would have. In order to attract the right candidate our team put together a Search Assignment Profile, composed a targeted list of companies, and helped to refine our client’s internal screening process. We honed in on each of the top sales people within these companies and began to proactively recruit in each market. Our executive consultants interviewed hundreds of candidates across the markets our client was searching in and throughout the project presented a total of 23 to the client.
The Search Results
Since our client wanted to hire so many people we set up a weekly call and presented qualified candidates as we came across them. Candidates were each put through the process as quickly as possible since they were truly competing against themselves in this situation.
Since the search’s inception Rice Cohen International has been instrumental in building our client’s sales force. The company made their first sales hire through us in less than 30 days and over an eight month period we placed 17 senior level sales executives with people in every major market across North America.
