Executive Search Recruiting Challenge: Human Resources Consulting Firm, Innovative Chief Marketing Officer

Our client, an HR Consulting Firm, was creating new innovative products to stay competitive. Their product development team and consultants had been doing a great job and the firm decided to hire a Chief Marketing Officer as part of this change. We had successfully worked with this organization in the past so they reached out to us to help them fill this critical role.
By partnering with our client our dedicated recruiting team put together a Search Assignment Profile based on our client’s immediate needs and future goals. The research team targeted each of our client’s competitors and then went on to identify the top marketing and strategy executives in each of these companies, specifically looking for individuals with significant experience in working with product development teams. From there, our consultants reached out to each executive on that list. A comprehensive behavior and skill based interview was conducted with each qualified candidate until a short list of the four most qualified candidates was compiled and presented to the client.
The Search Results
After the hiring manager had a round of initial interviews three finalists were selected to meet with the top executives. After these final interviews a decision to extend an offer to their candidate of choice was made. Our client was committed to finding the right person for this role and after meeting this individual they knew they were that person. This candidate knew the HR consulting space and had led similar marketing initiatives successfully. This candidate brought a wealth of industry expertise and creativity to help our client reach their product innovation and marketing goals.
