Gene Rice
Managing Partner & co-Founder
Gene Rice spent 10 years with an International Fortune 50 company where he was promoted six times and received three consecutive citations as “Executive of the Year”. In his last position Gene led East Coast operations and held management responsibility for seven locations and a staff of more than 500.
In 1989 Gene co-Founded Rice Cohen International and grew it to become one of the 30 largest retained executive search firms in North America as reported by Executive Recruiter News. Gene is an internationally recognized executive search professional specializing in the placement of top senior executives in the training, consulting and professional services industries. He is trained and certified in Behavior-Based Interviewing and Executive Coaching and over the course of his career has placed over 80 CEO, COO, President, and Board-level executives. Gene has personally completed over 100 Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Sales searches and his team has placed more that 500 Business Developers.
In 2002 Gene was recognized by Recruiter.com as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the History of the Staffing Industry”. That same year he co-founded Rice Cohen Training, the largest training and consulting company specializing in the recruiting industry, and created the best-selling video series – “Secrets To Success In The Search Business!” and, “25 Common Traits of The Big Billers”. His business has expanded to include an M&A division in which Gene partners with clients seeking to expand their businesses through acquisition. He continues to deliver keynote speeches at leading industry events including NAPS, Top Echelon, IPA, ASA and others.
Gene is an active member in the community
and volunteers his time by coaching AAU
basketball; he created a summer internship
program at RCI for his players to take
part in. He has always believed in giving
back and has been involved with Habitat
for Humanity and held a board position
for the Make a Wish Foundation. After
volunteering for more than 15 years to
various charities, Gene and his wife
Michele founded the Plant a Seed Inspire
a Dream Foundation in 2008. This 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization provides financially
challenged children, between the ages
of 8 and 21, with the opportunity to
pursue their passions while interacting
with positive role models. Since the
foundation’s inception in 2008,
over 40 children received financial scholarships
across the country. These scholarships
resulted in piano lessons by a Julliard
trained pianist, baseball and hockey
lessons, horseback riding lessons, Taekwon-Do
classes, and dance classes. One young
woman attended a prestigious art program,
and another with a passion for writing
music was connected with a music industry

Jeff Cohen
President & co-Founder
Jeff Cohen is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. During a career spanning more than 8 years with an International Fortune 50 company he earned five promotions and received the prestigious “Executive of the Year” award. Jeff’s creativity, interpersonal skills and phenomenal leadership abilities led to a 63% increase in his region which resulted in his election to the executive committee.
Seeking an opportunity to make a greater impact, Jeff co-Founded Rice Cohen International in 1989 and grew it to become one of the 30 largest and fastest growing retained executive search firms in North America. Jeff is nationally recognized as an award-winning search professional specializing in the IT Staffing, Outsourcing and Professional Services industries. He has successfully placed top talent in executive management, sales, marketing and operations roles for hundreds of clients ranging from boutique firms to Fortune 100 corporations. Jeff is trained and certified in Behavior-Based Interviewing as well as Executive Coaching and Spin Selling™.

Jeff Bauer
Senior Consultant
Jeff joined Rice Cohen International in 1999 as a Consultant and member of the Performance Improvement, Consulting, and E-learning practice group. In this role, Jeff spent over 3 years developing extensive experience placing Senior Executives, Business Developers, and support staff. In 2003, Jeff was promoted to Senior Consultant where he continues to be actively involved in recruiting for high level search projects while also managing project teams.
Prior to Rice Cohen, Jeff spent 5 years with Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company and 10 years as an entrepreneur. Jeff graduated from Catawba College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Accounting. He and his wife Linda reside in North Wales, Pa. Jeff enjoys extreme surfing, big game hunting, and hang gliding.
Amy Ford
Consultant
Amy joined Rice Cohen International in 1991. She was initially hired as a Receptionist and was later promoted to Office Manager. As her experience and knowledge of the search business grew, Amy felt the need to take on additional challenges and requested a transfer into the role of Recruiter.
Amy joined the team led by Jeff Cohen conducting search projects in the Professional Services, IT Staffing, and Outsourcing industries. As a senior member of the team Amy has successfully executed more than 200 searches for positions in sales, technical recruiting, branch and senior level management, resulting in significant repeat business from her clients. She consistently exceeds quota targets and has received the President’s Club Award numerous times. She is trained and certified in Behavior-Based Interviewing and has completed training in Spin Selling™.
Amy resides in Philadelphia, Pa. with her husband, John and son, Sean.
Sharyn Selby
Senior Consultant
Sharyn joined Rice Cohen International in1998 as a consultant and a member of the Performance Improvement, Consulting and E-Learning Practice Group. In this role Sharyn placed senior executives, business developers, and support staff. Sharyn was recently promoted to Senior Consultant and is actively involved in recruiting for high level search projects as well as marketing.
Sharyn transitioned from Sylvan Learning
Center, a leading provider of Educational
Solutions. As their Center Director,
she oversaw Sales and Management for
the center. Sharyn earned her Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Organizational Communications
from Cedarville College. In her free
time, Sharyn enjoys giving back and spends
time working with various children's
ministries.
Adam Bowen
General Manager
Adam started his professional staffing
and recruiting career as an Executive
Recruiter at Management Recruiters International.
He joined Rice Cohen International in
2007 as a Consultant in the Training
& Development search practice. In this
role Adam placed senior executives at
clients like the Disney Institute, Dale
Carnegie Training, Bersin and Associates,
Ferrazzi Greenlight, and many others
as well. In 2011 Adam was promoted to
General Manager and he now leads our
Advertising & Marketing
search practice. He is proud to have
received our Presidents Club award numerous
times joining co-Founders Gene Rice and
Jeff Cohen on global convention trips.
Adam earned his Bachelor of Arts degree
in Communications from Cabrini College
where he was also a member of the mens
basketball team. He is very active in
the community as a volunteer fundraising
member for the Plant a Seed Foundation
and he is the JV basketball coach at
Council Rock South High School. Adam
and his fiance Danielle live in suburban
Philadelphia.
